Dr David Qiu graduated from the University of Western Australia with a Bachelors of Dental Science in 2015. He is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
After graduation, David moved to Bunbury where he worked full time in private practice for 3 years before returning to Perth in 2019 to start a family. Since then he has been working part time in both private practice as well as for Dental Health Services before joining Swanbourne Dental in 2024. He also tutors final year dental students at the UWA dental school.
With a gentle and calming demeanor, David quickly puts even the most anxious patients at ease and finds helping patients overcome their dental anxiety particularly rewarding. He has a conservative approach to dental treatment and believes in prevention to reduce the need for intervention. His clinical interests include oral surgery, rehabilitation of worn teeth and composite veneers for front teeth. He is also a ClearCorrect® orthodontic clear aligner provider.
David regularly attends professional development courses to learn new techniques and technologies. With 2 young boys keeping his spare time to a minimum, David does enjoy playing racquet sports, boardgames and growing vegetables when he can.
